Tour Information

Spring semester tours will begin January 10th and will be offered Monday-Friday every hour from 9AM to 2PM.

No tours will be given March 4th – March 8th for spring break.

We only tour one perspective family at a time unless otherwise requested, please call the number below to register multiple students.  Visits consist of a campus tour conducted by one of our student ambassadors and a wrap up meeting with an Admissions Counselor. Faculty, athletic, and additional meetings are available but subject to faculty/staff availability. Please allow at least two hours for your visit to fully experience all that West Liberty has to offer.

Due to our high volume of visits we will not be accepting “walk-in” tours, so please register for your tour in advance by using the link under “Schedule a Tour.”

To attend one of our visit day programs, check out “Admissions Events.”

Zoo Science Tours

For the best tour experience for prospective Zoo Science students, we encourage you to schedule a campus tour on Mondays at 1:00pm to best see the animals, facilities and talk with faculty. After your campus visit, allot time to tour the Oglebay Good Zoo located just 4 miles from campus.

When selecting your major, please note that WLU offers majors in Zoo Science with tracks in Zoo Science, Applied Conservation and Marine & Aquarium Science through the College of Sciences. Additionally, Zoo Management is offered through the College of Business for students interested in operations.

Tour Parking

When you arrive on campus you will report to Shaw Hall. Enter the campus through the main gate and it is the brick building with white pillars located directly in front of you. You may park to the left of this building. There are signs for tour parking or visitor parking. You will then cross the street and use the side entrance of the building. Our reception area will be to your left when you enter where we will give you a permit for parking.
