College of Business – Adjunct Faculty

The College of Business at West Liberty University seeks to build a pool of part-time instructors. This pool will be active during the period July 1, 2010 to July 1, 2012.

Master’s degree in appropriate business concentration required; earned doctorate, MBA, or other approved terminal degree is preferred.  We are looking for instructors in all areas of business instruction.  Courses to be taught may include, but are not limited to, the following:  Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Management, Economics, Quantitative Methods, Computer Information Systems, Business Ethics, and Professional development.

Selected applicants may be called on short notice to fill lecturer vacancies on a semester-by-semester basis.  Screening of applications begins immediately and will continue as needed.

The number of lecturer positions filled varies from semester-to-semester, depending upon the needs of the department.  Positions typically start at the beginning of an academic semester. Your application will be maintained in this pool for consideration through July 2012.

Finalists must communicate well and successfully complete an interview process, teaching demonstration and adjunct training.  Completion of scholarly activities, including refereed journal articles and professional certifications is desirable but not necessary.  Recommendation for hiring is needed by the chairs of the College’s two departments and the Dean.
