The College of Education at West Liberty University seeks to fill a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Reading Education for the graduate and undergraduate program.
Dedicated to a strong curriculum and thorough training of students, West Liberty Academy opened in 1838 with 65 students. Today, West Liberty University continues to prepare students in professional education and boasts an enrollment of over 600 students. We are in our 55th year of continuous national teacher accreditation. The successful candidate will possess a terminal degree in Reading (or a related field) or a Master’s degree in Reading (or a related field) with a willingness to pursue a terminal degree, expertise, certification, and experience working with children and/or adolescents in reading instruction, multisensory reading techniques including Orton-Gillingham, dyslexia, knowledge of educational assessment and research related to the field or reading, Response to Intervention, evidence of infusion of current instructional technology related to reading instruction and intervention, and a minimum of 3 years teaching experience in PK-12 education. Salary is commensurate with degrees and experience. This position includes a comprehensive benefit package.
