The Higher Education Policy Commission’s Statewide Compact for the Future of West Virginia, emphasize accountability based on performance at every level of the educational system.  From 2007-2012 West Liberty annually submitted a Compact update for Charting the Future.  The final update was submitted in November of 2013, and officially approved by the HEPC in February 2014.

The Commission’s new five-year Compact, Leading the Way: Access.Success.Impact, was introduced in the fall of 2013, at that time, West Liberty provided initial target numbers and rationales.  West Liberty’s Compact planning document submitted in the fall of 2014, provided metrics, strategies, and five comprehensive plans.  West Liberty’s Compact strategies and plans were approved at the May 29, 2015 meeting of the Higher Education Policy Commission.  The Commission provided West Liberty with a critique of their report of their review team.  The first annual update for Leading the Way: Access.Success.Impact is due November 1, 2015.
