The Office of Institutional Research and Assessment is responsible for assisting the academic areas with compliance of state-mandated directives. These directives, found in the statewide Compact for the Future of West Virginia, emphasize accountability based on performance at every level of the educational system. The Higher Education Policy Commission is directing West Liberty University, and all public institutions of higher learning in the State of West Virginia, to complete an institutional Compact. The West Liberty University Compact Update is a collaborative effort that includes administrators, staff, and faculty. West Liberty annual Compact is approved by the Board of Governors and by the WV Higher Education Policy Commission.
The final update to the West Liberty’s Charting the Future 2013 Compact was submitted November 1 2013. West Liberty began preliminary work on a new Compact WVHEPC Leading the Way. Initial target numbers and rationales were established and submitted to the HEPC November 1, 2013( WLU.Rationales).
