Assessment and Accreditation Committee
Dr. Steve Criniti, Chair
Committee: Christopher Barrick, Keely Camden, Melinda Kreisberg, Donna Lukich, Margaret Six, Paula Tomasik, Carrie White
The Assessment and Accreditation Committee is responsible for assisting with the Board of Governors (BOG) Program Review Assessment of Student Learning. West Liberty considers the assessment of student learning to be so important that academic programs are required to provide an assessment update at the midway point of the five-year program review cycle. In the spring of 2012 ten academic degree programs submitted BOG assessment updates. The Committee reviews the assessment reports using a (rubric) developed by Dr. Criniti. Based on the Committee’s evaluation, recommendations are provided for the Academic Assessment Coordinator, the Department Chair, the College Dean, the Provost, and the BOG.
General Studies Assessment Committee

Committee: Brianne Bayer, Brian Crawford, Matthew Harder, Melinda Kreisberg, Robert Kruse, Donna Lukich, Ryan McCullough, Corey Reigel, Peter Staffel, Paula Tomasik, Traci Tuttle, James Vopal
The mission of the General Studies Assessment Committee is to assess and continuously improve the General Studies Program and to provide students with the opportunity to develop the essential skills and gain the knowledge expected of one who earns a baccalaureate degree. The General Studies Program represents the core foundation upon which all academic programs and the Student Development Goals are built. The General Studies Student Development Goals were revised by the Committee, and the revised goals were submitted to the University Curriculum Committee and approved in the fall of 2009. The General Studies Assessment Committee is working to develop appropriate assessment strategies for determining whether or not our students are accomplishing the student learning outcomes established for general studies.
